With Over 101 Million Views, BTS' "Dynamite" Smashes the Record for The Most Viewed Video on YouTube in the First 24 hours!

Within the first 24 hours of its release, BTS's latest music video for "Dynamite" broke all previous records on YouTube in terms of views, officially surpassing 100 million views in that time frame. According to YouTube’s public views counter, the BTS “Dynamite” video had 98.3 million views in the 24 hours after it went live on Friday. However, YouTube on Sunday said the official view count for the video’s first 24 hours was actually 101.1 million, a goal BTS’s extraordinarily passionate fanbase (aka BTS Army) had been hoping to achieve.

Dynamite had already broken the record for most viewed music video in the first 24 hours with 98.2 Million Views! 27 Minutes later it hit the 100 Million views. This breaks the last record to achieve 100 Million Views which was 1 day, 8 hours, and 22 minutes. YouTube confirmed the news that Dynamite got over 100 million views in 24 hours.

“Dynamite,” the group’s first song entirely in English, hit the No. 1 trending spot on YouTube globally within 12 hours of its debut. The video also notched a record for most-viewed YouTube Premiere with more than 3 million live concurrent viewers. Note that BTS has previously held the 24-hour views record several times, most recently with the April 2019 release of “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey (74.6 million views in the initial one-day period).

BTS’s TV performance premiere of “Dynamite” will take place at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, scheduled to air Aug. 30

ARMY took to socil media to celebrate the history making news.
