“Agust D Becomes the FIRST ASIAN SOLOIST in HISTORY to Occupy the Majority of the Top 10 of Billboard Rap Digital Song Sales Chart. Hw owed the top 4 spots with #1 “Haegeum”, #2 “HUH?”, #3 “Snooze”, #4 “D-DAY” and then #6 “SDL” and #7 “Polar Night” The songs are from his “D-DAY” album which also topped the Billboard Rap Albums chart. It was #2 on Billboard 200 and #58 on Billboard Hot 100. “D-DAY” released on April 21, 2023.
The mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020) are part of a trio of works, and the “D-DAY” album is the third in that series. The album, which has ten songs, also has appearances by Woosung of the Rose, IU, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and J-Hope, a bandmate from BTS.In order to promote the project, two singles were made available: “People Pt. 2” starring IU on April 7 and “Haegeum,” which debuted in conjunction with the album.Both singles were accompanied by music videos, and on April 24 a third one for the song “Amygdala” was made available.
