“SOME PARTIAL SUCCESS?” FANS CALL OUT HYBE OVER WEVERSE ARTICLE SEEMINGLY DOWNPLAYING JIMIN & SUGA’S ACHIEVEMENTS

“Weverse magazine usually publishes articles about BTS, mostly whenever they release new albums, celebrate milestones, and even stories about the members’ music, and sometimes they feature stories about fans, feature some fan accounts and even write about international artists and western music. A recent article about the latest musical artist wave rubbed BTS fans the wrong way. The article mainly talks about the US artist, Morgan Wallen who has been dominating the billboard music charts for weeks.

The article talks about the artist’s success on the charts, gives a brief history of Morgan, and continues to discuss his music and the influence it has had over other music and other artists. What fans are having trouble with is the structuring of the sentence that mentions Jimin topping the Billboard Hot 100. The words “Some partial success?” describing the artist’s top position on the chart has left a sour taste in many fans’ tongues. It feels like downplaying Jimin’s incredible achievement on the Hot 100 chart..

Jimin broke several records when he debuted his song “Like Crazy” on the Billboard Hot 100 which the fans feel like it was not appreciated enough or given the weight that the record carried. Let’s list the achievements to give you a point of view of where the fans are coming from
