Happy 2 Year Anniversary to BTS' "Proof" Album


2 years ago today , BTS released history making and most successful album "PROOF" Proof debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 , with 14.6 Billion Streams it is the most Streamed Album by a Group in the history of Spotify. Proof has 3 Grammy Nominations and 3 #1 hits on Hot 100! The lead single "Yet To Come" debuted at No. 13, and another track, "Run BTS," entered at No. 73 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Proof" is the first anthology album released by South Korean group BTS, on June 10, 2022.

The 3-disc project comprises several of the band's singles through the years; a selection of discography "favorites" chosen by the band members; and various demos and previously unreleased tracks. It also includes five new songs: the album's lead single "Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)", "Run BTS", "For Youth", "Quotation Mark", and "애매한 사이" (Young Love). The album sold over 2 million copies worldwide on its opening day and topped the charts in 18 territories, including Australia, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It has been certified gold in New Zealand, and Poland; platinum in France; double platinum in Japan; and 3× Million in South Korea.

BTS's album "Proof" made an explosive debut, selling over two million copies globally on its release day. By the end of its first week, the album's sales soared to an impressive 2,752,496 copies. "Proof" debuted at number one in multiple countries, including South Korea, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, and Switzerland. It also secured top-ten positions in Italy, Lithuania, and Norway. In the United Kingdom, the album peaked at number eight, marking BTS's fifth top-10 album in the region. 

In the United States, "Proof" became BTS's sixth consecutive number-one album on the Billboard 200. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)'s Global Music Report for 2022, "Proof" was the second best-selling physical album worldwide and the fourth most-consumed album across all formats. It was also the highest-ranked album by a K-pop artist on the IFPI's Global Albums chart, highlighting BTS's remarkable global impact.

BTS's album "Proof" made a significant impact on the music industry with numerous award nominations and wins. Although it was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Genie Music Awards, it did not secure the win. However, the album quickly garnered recognition elsewhere, being awarded Record of the Year at the Melon Music Awards and Album of the Year at the MAMA Awards later that month.

In January 2023, "Proof" continued its winning streak, taking home a Bonsang and Album of the Year at the 37th Golden Disc Awards, along with the Best Album Award at the 32nd Seoul Music Awards. The accolades kept coming in February, when "Proof" won Physical Album – 3rd Quarter and Retail Album of the Year at the 12th Circle Chart Music Awards.

Moreover, four tracks from the album—"Born Singer", "For Youth", "Run BTS", and "Yet to Come"—were nominated in the Global Digital Music – June category at the Circle Chart Music Awards, with "Yet to Come" emerging as the winner. The album's excellence was further recognized in March at the 37th Japan Gold Disc Awards, where it was honored in the Best 3 Albums (Asia) category.

"Proof" undeniably cemented BTS's legacy, earning a slew of prestigious awards and accolades across various platforms and countries.
