Mono is RM’s second mixtape, which he referred to as a playlist instead, was released on October 23, 2018, It features seven tracks and was accompanied by an animated music video for the final track, “Forever Rain”.
In 2018 the mixtape charted on Billboard 200 at no. 26 and on US World Albums Billboard at no. 2. RM described the album as a friend to one more than anything and hoped that his music provides some kind of answer and solace for anyone who seeks it. “mono. is a gentle reminder that human feelings — isolation, happiness, abandonment and internal conflict — are all very human and we might share more similarities with the people standing next to us than we think.”
