BTS “Mic DROP joins “Boy With Luv” (featuring Halsey) and “Dynamite” to become their 3rd Single to achieve silver certification in the United Kingdom. In the UK, singles are certified single when they achieve 200,000. In both the Korean and Japanese versions, J-Hope and RM are credited as song writers along with “Hitman” Bang (Bang Si-hyuk founder and co-CEO of Big Hit Entertainment). In October 2018, Love Yourself: Answer album earned the “Double Million Seller” certification from the Korea Music Content Association, for selling over 2 million copies.
The album later achieved a Silver Certification in the UK, becoming their first album to so. Love Yourself: Answer debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, becoming BTS’ second number-one album, their second of 2018 and their highest sales week in the country to date. It earned 185,000 album-equivalent units, including 141,000 in pure album sales. It also became the first Korean album to ever receive an RIAA album certification.
