BTS JIMIN’S ALBUM “FACE” REMAINS AT #1 ON BILLBOARD WORLD ALBUMS CHART FOR A 4TH WEEK

 


FACE” album by Jimin is #1 on the World Albums chart for the 4th consecutive week, making it the longest running #1 album by a K-Pop soloist. “FACE” was released on March 24, 2023. The album “FACE” debuted at number one on the Circle Album Chart after breaking sales records on its first day, selling over 1 million copies, and in its first week, reaching 1.45 million sales, making Jimin the first solo artist in Hanteo Chart history to do so. It topped the charts for Oricon Albums, Digital Albums, and Hot Albums on Billboard Japan in Japan.

Jimin is the first solo artist to enter 2023’s Oricon album charts at number one. Face became the highest charting album by a South Korean solo artist in Billboard chart history when it debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200.

On Hanteo Chart. Jimin became the fourth solo artist from a group to have a million-selling album, behind Seo Taiji, Baekhyun, and BTS bandmate Jin, and the first solo artist in Hanteo Chart history to surpass one million album sales on the day of release. The album went on to break the record for the highest first week sales by a solo artist, selling over 1.45 million copies in its first week of release.

On the April 8, 2023, issue of the Billboard 200, “FACE” debuted at number two in the United States, making Jimin the first artist to do so with a debut project since Olivia Rodrigo’s “Sour.”
