BTS’ SUGA DEBUTS AT #1 ON THIS WEEK’S RAP SONGWRITERS CHART AND #7 ON THE RAP PRODUCERS CHART!

 


Augst D, also known as SUGA, is a rapper, composer, and record producer from South Korea. The song “Song Request” by Lee So-ra includes a rap appearance by SUGA. Suga and Tablo of Epik High, who also produced the song, contributed to its writing. The song “Eternal Sunshine” from Epik High’s Sleepless in was subsequently produced by SUGA. The digital single “We Don’t Talk Together” for the singer Heize was co-written and produced by him.

The third studio album Manic by American singer-songwriter Halsey features Suga and was produced by him. The song “Suga’s Interlude” was released in December. IU released the SUGA featuring digital song “Eight” on May 6, 2020. On the Gaon Digital and World Digital Song Sales charts, the song, produced by SUGA, debuted at the top.

The first studio album by South Korean rapper Agust D, better known as SUGA of BTS, is titled “D-Day.” It was released on April 21, 2023 as the third book in a series that also features the mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020). According to the Hanteo Chart, D-Day broke Jimin of BTS’s previous record of 1,021,532 copies for his debut solo album Face on its release day in March by selling 1,072,311 copies globally on its first day. Agust D is the second Korean solo artist after Jimin to sell more than a million units on their debut in Hanteo Chart history.
