BTS TO RELEASE A BOOK TELLING THEIR OWN STORY FOR THEIR 10TH ANNIVERSARY COMING UP IN JUNE

BTS will release a book telling their own story on July 9. A mysterious future book that in recent days entered the bestseller lists on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com validated widespread fan anticipation over several days that Flatiron would publish a nonfiction work about a pop culture phenomenon this summer. When American booksellers learned this weekend that a mystery novel with a July 9 release date was on the way, the rumor began to circulate. It had an initial print run of one million copies and required booksellers to sign an affidavit to stock copies on publication day.

“Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” was written by journalist Myeongseok Kang & BTS members It’ll have 544 pages, exclusive photos, & a first printing of one million copies.” US publisher Flatiron Books

June 13 and July 9 are also significant dates in the BTS community. The group debuted on 13th June 2013 and ARMY was formed on 9th July 2013. The book’s release will coincide with the fandom’s s 10th anniversary. Preorders for the still-untitled book pushed it up the best-seller lists at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Since 2013, BTS has released nine albums and six Eps. BTS became the first K-pop act to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s album chart with 3 albums, “Love Yourself: Tear,” (2018) “Love Yourself: Answer” (2019), and “Map of the Soul: Persona”, (2019) albums only after the Beatles.

In June 2022 BTS announced that they would be taking a break from group activities to focus on their solo projects. Five out of the seven members have already released solo albums, Jin (The Astronaut), j-hope (Jack in the Box), RM (Indigo), Jimin (FACE), and SUGA (D-DAY). J-hope was the first member to start his solo run as he held a historical performance at Lollapalooza that broke records as the first Asian act to headline the US festival and the festival had the highest ticket sales in history on his performance date. SUGA is currently on a solo mini-world tour in the US, Asia, and South Korea.

In October of the same year BIGHIT MUSIC, the group’s label confirmed that all BTS members would enlist in South Korea’s military as required by law and that Jin would be the first to enlist. J-hope is the second member who has enlisted.
