TS’ Jung Kook held a record breaking Weverse live that saw 15.1 million real time viewers. He chatted with fans for almost more than three hours and as usual listened to a few songs, sang along to some, and even played some songs that were recommended by ARMY (BTS’ fandom) Among the songs played were three that were fan made by the fans themselves and dedicated to BTS. Fans have an annual tradition where they make “Song by ARMY” or “ARMY song for BTS” to celebrate the anniversary. The songs are usually fan made together by fans from different countries, regions and made with several languages.
The first one that Jun Kook listened too got him so emotional that tears started welling up in his eyes as he watched the music video of the song called ““Love Letters” which was the 2023 version celebrating BTS’ 10-year anniversary.
He had been asking fans what he should watch, and they started suggesting “LOVE LETTERs” where Jung Kook was confused at first even thinking and wondering if that BTS had a song called, “Love Letters” but fans kept commenting adding that its by ARMYs for BTS. So, he searched, found it and started watching. Midway you could see his eyes welling up, then tears started streaming down his face, but he eventually broke down when the song was almost over.
He was speechless so touched that he kept asking why he had not seen it earlier or know about it and when it was made. He gushed how ARMYs were talented and had beautiful voices. After composing himself not believing he had cried he promised to learn the song and sing it to fans some time. He thanked them for the beautiful gift that he listened to it again.
