BTS RM’S ‘INDIGO’ ALBUM RE-ENTERS THIS WEEK’S BILLBOARD 200 CHART!

BTS RM’s ‘Indigo’ re-enters this week’s Billboard 200 chart at No. 53. The album “Indigo” came out on December 2, 2022. The rapper’s new album is his first extended body of work since Mono (2018) and serves as a record or archive of his late 20s. It has ten songs and features Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak, Tablo from Epik High, Kim Sa-wol, Paul Blanco, Mahalia, Colde, Youjeen from Cherry Filter, and Park Ji-yoon, among others. The eighth song, “Wildflower,” which Youjeen and I co-wrote, was released as the album’s lead single accompanied with a music video.

With 31,000 equivalent album sales, the album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 list for the week ending December 17, 2022, making it RM’s second and highest entry to date. With just digital sales, “Indigo” debuted at number one in Japan. With 3,231 copies sold, it debuted at the top of the weekly Oricon Digital Albums Chart for December 12, 2022. RM At the time of his reentry, his peak position on the Artist 100 chart was eight, which was his highest peak.

His best peak on the chart at the time was number eight when he reentered the Artist 100 chart. Eight songs from the album, including “Wildflower,” “Still Life,” “Yun,” “Lonely,” “All Day,” “Hectic,” “No.2,” and “Forg_tful,” simultaneously reached the top eight positions on the World Digital Song Sales chart, making RM the fourth artist to do so since the chart’s inception, behind BTS, August D, and J-Hope. The top three songs on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart were “Still Life,” “Yun,” and “All Day,” while “Closer” topped the R&B and R&B/Hip-Hop charts, respectively.
