BTS’s Jungkook made his formal solo debut, continuing his record-breaking streak on Billboard! When his new solo single “Seven” (with Latto) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Global 200, and Global Excl. U.S. chart last month, Jungkook made history by being the first Korean solo artist to do so. The most opening-day streams by a male artist and collaboration in history, “Seven” premiered at the top of the daily Global Spotify Chart with approximately 16 million streams, making it the biggest debut of 2023.
The song even beat BTS’ own “Butter” which had the biggest streaming debut when it was released on 21st May 2021. First Korean solo artist to debut at the top of the global list, Jungkook became the first K-pop act to top the U.S. Spotify chart.
