Latto ranked at number 10 on IFPI's singles chart. "GOLDEN" marks the inaugural studio album by Jung Kook, the South Korean sensation from BTS. Released on November 3, 2023, the album ventures into the realms of pop music, earning favorable reviews from critics. Boasting collaborations with Jack Harlow, Major Lazer, Latto, and DJ Snake, "Golden" is introduced by the singles "Seven" and "3D," with a third single, "Standing Next to You," released in tandem with the album. "GOLDEN" has made an impressive mark on music charts globally, securing top positions in 25 countries. It dominated album charts in South Korea, Belgium, France, Lithuania, and Japan. Notably, the album achieved top-10 status in 14 countries, including Australia, France, and Germany. In the United Kingdom, it debuted at an exceptional number three, establishing itself as the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist. Crossing over to the United States, "GOLDEN" made a powerful entry at number two on the Billboard 200, accumulating 210,200 equivalent album units.
Within this total, 164,800 were pure sales, comprising 128,500 CDs and 36,300 digital downloads, making it the best-selling album of the week. Additionally, it gathered 29,800 SEA units, reflecting 41.59 million on-demand official streams of its 10 songs, along with 15,600 track equivalent (TEA) units. As of November 2023, the album has surpassed 2.4 million copies sold worldwide.
"Golden" by Jungkook garnered prestigious accolades, earning the Album Bonsang at the 38th Golden Disc Awards and the coveted Artist of the Year – Album at the 13th Circle Chart Music Awards. These awards celebrated the outstanding musical achievement and impact of the album on the industry.
Jungkook further surprised fans with an impromptu concert at Times Square in New York City on November 9.
