THE NUMBER OF BTS 2021 GRAMMY SUBMISSIONS IS WHAT GOT ARMYS ATTENTION, HERE’S WHY

The Grammy is the ultimate prize for any artist as it is a true validation that their music is not only reaching the masses, but it has an impact as well. It is already Grammy season as the year comes to a close and many artists have been working hard to be able to submit their music for consideration to the 2021 Grammys. In a press statement, it was announced that, The Recording Academy would announce nominees for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on 24th November.

The nominations will be announced via an hour long Livestream beginning at 9 a.m. PT. Chair and Interim Recording Academy President/CEO Harvey Mason jr. will be reading categories and will be joined by past Grammy winners, nominees and hopefuls from remote locations across the country. The nominations virtual livestream will be available to view on grammy.com.

BTS reportedly submitted “Map of the Soul: 7 Album” and “Dynamite” single for multiple Grammys 2021 categories

“BTS submitted Dynamite in R/SOTY, Best Music Video, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Map of the Soul: 7 submitted in AOTY, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical and Best Pop Vocal Album,” Natalie Nicole, a Voting Recording Academy member Tweeted on her account.

The news was received with a lot of excitement by ARMY who immediately expressed their anticipation and happiness. One thing that came to the forefront of their ultimate excitement was the number of submissions that BTS made. 7. The number 7 has been very significant to BTS this 2020 since their album Map Of The Soul: 7 was released. BTS stated that the album was significant as it celebrated their 7 years’ anniversary as a band, and they are seven members.

The most recent significance to the number 7, was their Billboard Hot 100 achievements which would have been unbelievable if there were no records. BTS “Dynamite” debuted at no. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. The second concurrent week, they got another no. 1. 3rd and 4th week they got no. 2 and no. 2 respectively, and the 5th week, they re-peaked at number one i.e. 1+1+2+2+1= 7. Fate? Definitely. Now ARMY is taking the lucky number 7 into their hopes of BTS getting those Grammy nominations.

In 2019 BTS made history as the first K-pop group to present an award in the show’s 61 years. They took the stage at STAPLES Center for the first time to present H.E.R with Best R&B Album. In 2020 they were the first K-pop group to perform beside Lil Nas and Billy Ray Cyrus for the song “Old Town Road”

ARMY took to social media to discuss the possibilities of BTS’ nomination and win, channeling the lucky number 7
